Strength, Confidence and Movement—From a Chair
Movement is for everyone. Our seated exercise classes are designed for people who want to stay active, build strength, and improve confidence in a safe, supportive way—without the need to get up and down from the floor.
These classes are fully supervised by qualified physiotherapists, ensuring exercises are tailored, purposeful, and appropriate for your individual needs. Using a chair as support, we focus on improving mobility, balance, strength, posture, and circulation, all while working at a pace that feels comfortable and achievable.
Seated exercise is ideal if you:
Have joint pain or stiffness
Are recovering from surgery or illness
Experience balance difficulties or reduced mobility
Live with long-term or neurological conditions
Want to exercise safely while regaining confidence

The group setting adds a gentle sense of motivation and connection, while still allowing exercises to be adapted to you. It’s not about keeping up—it’s about moving well, feeling stronger, and staying independent.
Classes are based at Zone Fitness Studio and include 45mins exercise with a 15mins health promotion chat with one of our qualified physiotherapists. Each week will include a different theme and a variety of exercises to improve your health and have fun.
Price £15 or £10 if you’re already a Zone Fitness member.
