Meet Sam – The Person Behind the Scenes at Dorset Physio

If you’ve contacted Dorset Physio over the past eight months, there’s a good chance you’ve already come across Sam!

Sam is our Clinic Virtual Assistant and one of those incredibly important people working behind the scenes to help keep Dorset Physio running smoothly.

While our physiotherapists and therapists are busy in the clinic, Sam helps us manage the administration that goes with running a busy healthcare service – and is often one of the people helping our patients with appointments, messages and queries.

Over 20 Years of Experience

Sam brings more than 20 years of experience in business and administrative support.

Her career began in London as an Executive Assistant, working with company directors across a variety of sectors. She later became a recruitment consultant, supporting organisations with their recruitment needs and working on a number of contracts, including UCH.

After having her children, Sam relocated to Christchurch in Dorset. While they were young, she worked as a Teaching Assistant before eventually returning to Personal Assistant work.

In 2021, she moved into virtual assistance, supporting company directors with administration and customer service, particularly within the health and wellbeing sector.

That experience eventually led Sam to establish her own Virtual PA and business support company, Connectors Services Business Support.

An Important Part of Dorset Physio

Good patient care doesn’t only happen in the treatment room.

There’s a huge amount happening behind the scenes too – answering questions, managing communication, organising appointments and generally making sure things happen when they’re supposed to!

That’s where Sam comes in.

Her experience in both business support and customer service makes her a really important part of Dorset Physio, helping us stay organised while allowing our clinical team to concentrate on looking after our patients.

And importantly, Sam genuinely enjoys talking to patients and getting to know the people she helps – something that fits perfectly with the friendly, person-centred service we’re trying to create at Dorset Physio.

And When She’s Not Keeping Us Organised…

Sam loves socialising with friends and getting outside for walks along the Dorset coast with her dog, Rubi. 🐾
