Meet Raluca – Our Community Physiotherapist

We’re delighted to introduce Raluca, our Community Physiotherapist at Dorset Physio.

Raluca provides physiotherapy and rehabilitation in people’s own homes across Weymouth, Portland and the surrounding area.

For many people, getting to a physiotherapy clinic isn’t easy. And sometimes, the best place to work on rehabilitation is actually at home — in the environment where someone needs to be able to walk, manage their stairs, get in and out of a chair and regain the confidence to live independently.

Raluca can support people following a hospital stay, illness, surgery or a period of reduced mobility, as well as those who are becoming less steady on their feet or struggling to manage everyday activities

Home visits allow her to look beyond exercises alone. She can assess how someone is moving around their own environment, identify the things that are making everyday life difficult and build rehabilitation around the goals that matter to that individual.

That might mean improving strength and balance, practising stairs, rebuilding walking tolerance, reducing falls risk or simply helping someone feel confident enough to start doing things for themselves again.

Raluca brings a warm, encouraging and practical approach to rehabilitation, and we’re really pleased to have her as part of the Dorset Physio team.
