I’m proud to share that I have been awarded a Distinction in my Postgraduate Certificate in First Contact Practice from Health Sciences University.
First Contact Practice (FCP) is advanced-level training designed for clinicians working in primary care. It strengthens assessment, diagnostic reasoning and clinical decision-making for complex musculoskeletal conditions.
Most importantly — it directly benefits every patient I see here at Dorset Physio.
What This Means for You
This qualification enhances my ability to:
• Carry out advanced musculoskeletal assessments
• Identify serious pathology and red flags early
• Confidently manage complex or persistent pain conditions
• Reduce unnecessary referrals or delays in care
• Provide clear, evidence-based rehabilitation plans
In simple terms — you receive a higher level of clinical reasoning from your very first appointment.
Raising the Standard of Local Care
Access to advanced clinical expertise shouldn’t require travelling to larger cities or specialist centres.
My goal has always been to ensure that patients in Weymouth & Portland have access to high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy close to home.
This achievement reflects my ongoing commitment to investing in professional development so that Dorset Physio continues to provide safe, progressive and forward-thinking care.
Thank you to everyone who continues to trust us with your rehabilitation and performance goals.
We will keep building.
