For some people, attending a clinic isn’t always possible. Whether due to recent surgery, reduced mobility, or health-related challenges, travelling to appointments can feel overwhelming. That’s why we offer home physiotherapy visits, bringing high-quality care directly to you, in the comfort of your own home.
Who are home visits suitable for?
Home physiotherapy can be particularly helpful for:
Individuals recovering from surgery who are currently unable to drive
Older adults who may feel less confident leaving the house
People with reduced mobility or balance concerns
Those managing ongoing musculoskeletal pain or stiffness
Anyone for whom attending a clinic is physically or medically challenging
Each patient is carefully screened prior to a home visit to ensure this service is appropriate, safe, and beneficial.
Conditions we commonly treat
Our home visit service focuses on musculoskeletal and mobility-based conditions, including:
Joint pain and stiffness affecting the hips, knees, shoulders, back, or neck
Osteoarthritis and age-related joint changes
Reduced mobility and physical deconditioning
Balance problems and falls prevention
Post-operative rehabilitation once medically stable (e.g. joint replacements or fracture recovery)
Muscle weakness and loss of confidence with movement
Walking difficulties and gait re-education
Chronic back or neck pain
Tendon and soft tissue injuries
Shoulder pain and rotator cuff–related problems
Postural issues
Reduced function following illness or hospital admission
Mild neurological conditions once medically stable, where the focus is on mobility and function
Support with safe exercise, pacing, and movement within the home
Safety and screening
Before any home visit, we carry out a thorough screening process. With your consent, we may request access to relevant GP health records to ensure sessions are paced appropriately and tailored to your individual health needs.
Please note, we do not provide home physiotherapy for complex or unstable medical conditions, acute illness, palliative care, or end-of-life care. If home physiotherapy is not the most suitable option, we will always guide you toward the most appropriate support.
Getting started
If you’re unsure whether a home visit is right for you or a loved one, please get in touch. We’re always happy to talk through your situation and advise on the best next step.
